Window and split air conditioners use different motor designs. Knowing the difference helps you order the correct replacement.
Window AC — E-Frame Motors
Window AC units use E-Frame motors (like our EF29 series) that drive both the indoor blower and outdoor condenser fan on a single shaft. They are typically 3-speed, with HP ratings from 1/8 to 1/6 and watts from 30 to 124W.
Split AC — ODU Motors
Split AC outdoor units use a dedicated condenser fan motor (our G-Series F95). These are single-speed, lower wattage (39–55W) and optimised for continuous outdoor operation.
Which Do You Need?
Check whether your unit is a window type (single box) or split type (separate indoor + outdoor units). Ashu Motors manufactures both — 28 EF29 window models and 23 G-Series ODU models covering every major brand.
